Drive Rack gives you a single knob that simultaneously drives the input and pulls down the output of any effect, rack, or chain – maintaining perfect level balance while you dial in saturation, distortion, or character.

Ableton's built-in Utility has an uneven gain range (+35dB to -∞dB), making it impossible to create proper input/output linking. Drive Rack uses the output levels of two bypassed compressors with matched ±36dB ranges, giving you a perfect 1:1 gain ratio.
